Ross S. Myerson, MD, MPH

Dr. Myerson is President of Myerson Occupational & Environmental Medicine, PC. He is a board-certified occupational medicine physician with more than 30 years of experience in providing clinical occupational medicine and corporate medical consulting to Fortune 500 corporations, insurance companies, and legal firms. Dr. Myerson completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He received his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine where he was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He trained in medicine and surgery prior to completing a fellowship in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine He also earned a Master of Public Health degree at Boston University School of Public Health. His post-doctoral studies include graduate courses and training in toxicology, environmental health sciences, industrial hygiene, epidemiology, and biostatistics. 

Dr. Myerson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Occupational Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and a Fellow of the International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators.  He has held academic positions at The George Washington University School of Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Harvard School of Public Health, University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, and The Medical College of Wisconsin. He is past president of the Metropolitan Washington College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine. He served as Medical Director of Occupational & Environmental Health and Chairman of The Physician Health Committee at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He has evaluated patients with a variety of occupational and environmental exposures and has served as a full-time Medical Director in a multi-site occupational medical health clinic system.

Dr. Myerson provides medical expertise in the areas of toxicology, environmental chemical and physical agents, design and development of medical surveillance and biological monitoring programs, occupational health policies and procedures, health hazard evaluation, risk communication, and clinical evaluation for determination of fitness for duty and return to work. He has extensive experience in the evaluation of occupational and environmental medical issues related to inhalation exposures, medical claims related to mold and damp indoor environments, and a variety of other exposure scenarios where disease causation is in question.
